Orcutt/Winslow began more than three decades ago with two Arizona State University graduates eager to charge the architectural field with new and innovative design solutions. Under the philosophy that \"behind every well-designed building is an architect that took the time to thoroughly understand the client\'s needs,\" Herman Orcutt and Paul Winslow began building client-focused design teams that could offer personal service during each stage of the architectural process. Thus, an evolution of what is being practiced by the 80+person staff at Orcutt/Winslow today, and replicated by firms around the country. At O/W, we still hire only architectural graduates, either registered or in the pursuit of registration, not draftsmen, to work on our client\'s projects. We don\'t pass projects from one department to the next, we believe that the person who took the time to get to know each client and the user groups during the initial programming of the project is the best person to design, and make sure that it is built the way it was intended during construction. This progressive approach to management has allowed us a reputation of bringing to each project a sincere concern for our client\'s needs, budget, visions and aesthetic goals.
