What Is The Institute of Banking?

The Institute of Banking is the largest professional organisation in Ireland with over 34,000 members working primarily in banking and financial services across the island of Ireland. More than 10,000 of our members are currently studying with us, and we have the largest Continuing Professional Development (CPD) community in Ireland, with more than 21,000 registered members. The Institute is a recognised college of University College Dublin (UCD), we are the UCD College of Professional Finance. We have over 30 programmes ranging from Professional Certificates (level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)) to Masters Degrees (level 9 on the NFQ), as well as executive and specialist programmes which are designed for directors, senior executives and high-potential managers within the financial services sector. All our programmes are part-time, and are designed to be practical and relevant, but grounded in academic rigour. We focus on providing innovative and flexible education options to ensure that we meet our members changing needs. The Institute is one of Ireland's biggest providers of e-learning so you can study with us using your PC, tablet or smart phone. We are a not-for-profit organisation.
