Our Mission We are Dayton’s professional regional theatre company, exploring the human experience and promoting enlightenment, inclusion and understanding through quality entertainment. Historic Highlights 2017 The Human Race marks its 30th anniversary season with the world premieres of Eric Ulloa's 26 Pebbles, a story about the community of Newtown, CT, and Family Ties by Daniel Goldstein. 2016 The City of Dayton names The Human Race "Dayton's Official Professional Theatre Company." The Human Race celebrates its 30th anniversary. 2015 Michael Slade’s drama, Family Shots, had its world premiere with stars Corbin Bleu and Colleen Zenk. 2013 Staged-reading of Michael Slade's Gingerbread Children, first of the new Marsha Hanna New Play Workshops Collaboration with Victoria Theatre Association to create the Broadway Studio, a teen summer camp 2012 World premiere of Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical World premiere co-production of Michael Slade's Under a Red Moon with the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center 2011 25th Anniversary Season Artistic Director Marsha Hanna passes away in January after a lengthy battle with cancer Executive Director Kevin Moore named Producing Artistic Director and Company Manager Tara Lail named Managing Director 2010 August: Osage County, a collaboration with Wright State University, produced at WSU's Festival Theatre Resident Lighting Designer John Rensel inducted into the Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame Artistic Director Marsha Hanna and Executive Director Kevin Moore received the 2010 Ohio Governor's Award for Arts Administration
