Becoming nationally known as the 'Academy Awards for Admins, the Admin Awards was created by the daughter of an Executive Secretary and is the first and only awards program of its kind in the country that publicly recognizes the invaluable contributions of Administrative Professionals. Today, winning an Admin Award is considered the Administrative Profession's highest honor. The awards gala is a unique celebration that recognizes administrative excellence in nine award categories, including the program’s most prestigious award, The Colleen Barrett Award for Administrative Excellence, which elevates the professional who embodies the “spirit” and proficiency of nationally renowned (former) admin, Colleen Barrett, President Emeritus of Southwest Airlines, who over the course of her four decade career climbed from secretary to President and COO of the legendary, award winning airline.
