What Is Technology Fund?

The technology fund is a climate policy instrument of the Swiss federal government and was established in the CO2 Act of 23 December 2011. Companies that develop and commercialise marketable innovations designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote the use of renewable energy and conserve natural resources can apply for a loan guarantee of up to CHF 3 million. The guarantees are issued to banks and other suitable lenders and cover up to 100% of the loan. The fund's offering is primarily aimed at innovative Swiss start-up firms or SMEs. The favourable terms of the guaranteed loans will enable them to bring their pre-tested technology to the market or expand their range of customers after market introduction. Applications will be reviewed on the basis of their technological suitability as well as the financial capacity of the applicant and then referred to a guarantee committee for approval. https://www.technologyfund.ch/
