What Is Teaching Trust?

Teaching Trust transforms public schools by fueling leaders. Simply put, we believe that Great Leaders + Great Teams = Great Schools. Our approach is rooted in the research: strong school leadership increases student learning. We engage school leaders and their teams in professional development, going deep on foundational concepts proven to move the needle for schools. In turn, leaders build trusting and effective school teams. Together, school teams strengthen data practices, instructional planning, and school culture to create an immediate and lasting impact for their students. Our partnership with school leaders is ongoing – we are not just here to give training, send them off with a binder, and hope all goes well. We help implement best practices across campuses by sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with leaders. We offer counsel, on-the-ground support, and accountability across the arc of two years. Our coaching is a living relationship. We work with leaders at multiple levels, from the teacher to the campus coach to the principal to the principal manager. We believe, and have seen firsthand, that strong, aligned leadership across campus, district, and state level is a game changer for students. To date, we’ve impacted more than 1,500 educators in 300 schools, reaching 350,000 students. We are engaging leaders at many levels in large, complex urban districts to collaborate and build a shared vision – and we’re seeing strong results for students in partner districts like Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Richardson ISD, and Garland ISD. Fighting for educational equity in schools is only one part of the broader work needed to bring about systemic change for historically oppressed communities. We aim to work alongside many community partners, educators, and families in pursuit of large-scale transformational change across Texas.
