Tallard Technologies is part of Grupo Itautec, a publicly traded 100% Brazilian-owned company that specializes in the development of information technology and automation products and solutions. Together, the companies are Latin American’s largest value-added distributor. Tallard’s headquarters are located in Miami, from where it manages its resellers in all of Central America and The Caribbean. Tallard has offices in Chile, Mexico, Venezuela and, through Itautec, Tallard also has local presence in Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador. Tallard’s principal lines of distribution are Avaya for the convergence and contact centermarkets and IBM and Apple for the infrastructure market. Tallard also distributes complementary IT and convergence products such as high-speed switches and routers, multimedia digital surveillance, telecom traffic management, application accelerators, IP accelerators, HTTPS accelerators and WFM solutions, all from companies such as Allot, Expand, Foundry, Extreme, Nice and IEX. As a true value-added distributor, Tallard’s business model is built on delivering a complete solution to its channels. This is a major departure from many of the transaction-based wholesale distributors that clutter the landscape today.
