TUH Health Fund was founded in 1972 by the Queensland Teachers’ Union. Our purpose was to ensure that teachers in Queensland would always be able to receive first rate health care. Our fund has grown and we now cover a much broader range of Australians. Many of our members, such as teachers, nurses, fire-fighters and government employees, spend their working lives looking after others. We feel a special obligation to look after them in return, and that’s very evident in the generous health cover we provide and the respect and care with which we treat our members. Especially when they are unwell and at their most vulnerable. We are, and have always been, a not-for-profit organisation.
