What Is TRC Robotics?

The “service robot” industry has begun the transitions from limited-purpose to multi-purpose robots. At TRC Robotics, we are taking this transformation one step further. For about four years, TRC has been developing a platform for the Multipurpose Modular Robots™ (MMR™). The modularity allows OEMs to produce various versions of an MMR that meets market differentiation, while retaining the advantages of the MMR-Platform: (1) the ability to download MMR-Apps from TRC's MMR-App Store™; (2) attach MMR certified plug-and-play accessories; (3) download “Special” MMR Apps for MMR accessories; (4) and allow smart technology to be transformed into an MMR accessory with a software upgrade. To demonstrate this transformation TRC's product line of MMR is branded TRay/C™ (pronounced "Tracy"). TRay/C Table Edition™ (or TRay/C-TE™) is built on TRC's specification for a minimum multipurpose modular robot™ and a screw on table top. Remove the table top and attach TRC's UV/C Sterilizer™ MMR-Accessory, insert the associated MMR-App, and TRay/C becomes a remote controlled or autonomous killer of viruses, bacteria, and fungi within a closed area which prevents harm to humans while cutting the disinfecting time in half and reduces staff time for the cleaning. The TRay/C MMR plus the UV/C Sterilizer MMR-Solution can be converted to other uses after the COVID-19 serge subsides and the MMRs can be repositioned for other purposes such as telepresence for doctor's rounds or family and friends visits through interactive video. Another example is bringing meals to patients that use the Foodphone accessory which gives an MMR Nutrition solution the ability to analyze the nutrition of a meal before and after someone eats. Then if another wave of the pandemic should return, then some of the robots can be repositioned with the sanitizer add-on. "What Google's Android did for mobile apps, TRC's Multipurpose Modular Robot™ platform does for the service robot industry", says CEO Harrison Rose.
