Founded in 1893, TMI is the oldest Episcopal School in the southwest, known to most as Texas Military Institute, the school embodies so much more than the name implies. Indeed, the school is a 6-12 coeducational college preparatory school with deep roots in the Episcopal Church. A member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools, the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas is fully accredited by the Independent School Association of the Southwest. ISAS schools are recognized as premier private schools not only in the southwest but nationally as well. Adhering to the highest standards of academic excellence, the mission of TMI is to create an excellent educational community with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
