What Is Tübingen AI Center?
The Tübingen AI Center, a joint partnership between the University of Tübingen and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of machine intelligence. Our mission is twofold: to develop robust learning systems that can match the effectiveness of biological systems and to ensure the societal benefits of AI. \n\nMachine learning is spearheading a technological and societal revolution, yet today's learning systems exhibit important shortcomings such as their lack of robustness, their limited generalization to novel situations, their struggle to learn continuously from few examples, and their inability to infer causal relationships. More robust AI systems promise tremendous benefits for society. Not only will they significantly cut the costs and limitations of machine intelligence, but they are also a crucial prerequisite for enabling causal explanations and ensuring transparency in machine-led decisions. \n\nSituated within the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) network and closely cooperating with the new ELLIS institute in Tübingen, the Tübingen AI Center stands at the forefront of machine intelligence innovation. Backed by both the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Education, Research, and Arts, we're dedicated to fostering a new generation of machine intelligence, steering a future towards robust, efficient, and accountable learning systems. \n\nImprint: https://tuebingen.ai/imprint\nPrivacy statement: https://tuebingen.ai/privacy-policy\nLinkedIn Impact Assessment: https://tuebingen.ai/linkedin-datenschutzerklaerung\nLinkedIn Utilization Concept: https://tuebingen.ai/linkedin-nutzungskonzept
