This acquisition represents for System Logistics an important strategic milestone in reinforcing its presence in the US food & beverage markets, where Vertique with its warehouse automation solutions and products plays an indisputable leading role. Vertique is located in Arden, North Carolina, and over the past 15 plus years, has grown to be one of the most important key players in the food & beverage market providing solutions for intra-logistics. Vertique has more than 60 employees based mostly at the Arden facility. Vertique will continue to offer its solutions in the US as a business unit of System Logistics Corporation. The ability to complement its offering with storage solutions provided by System Logistics further enhances Vertique's market potential. The technology, the know-how and the human heritage that have been developed by Vertique over the years will be part of System Logistics with the aim to further broaden its offering in the case picking segment at high performance. The headquarters and the production facility will remain in Arden, NC. “We believe that this strategic acquisition is an opportunity for System Logistics to reinforce our presence in the US market and to complement what we already offer”, has stated Luigi Panzetti, CEO of System Logistics. “Vertique is the leading company in the United States for case picking and now it will be able to offer solutions for pallet storage and material handling such as automated storage and retrieval systems, and Laser Guided Vehicles”.
