Synapta Revenue and Competitors

Synapta Srl is an Italian innovative start-up based in Turin. Synapta is focused on software development and data integration projects using Linked Data and other Semantic Web and Big Data technologies. Our core activities concern data retrieval, cleaning, curation and interlinking (enriching data on the basis of open or proprietary sources, possibly leveraging the natural language processing competences of one of Synapta's corporate partners: Celi.it). Moreover, Synapta develops front-ends to access linked data hiding their complexity to ordinary users, but respecting the W3C standards to leverage interoperability and reducing lock-in. Synapta brings on the market a business intelligence platform called ContrattiPubblici.org (Public-Contracts.com) providing a semantic search engine for goods and services purchased by Public Administrations. Such platform does not just allow for the monitoring of prospects and competitors and for a better analysis of calls for tenders, but also for a scrutiny of contracts assigned without public calls, on which data are available for transparency and accountability purposes.
