What Is Supreme Security Systems?

For over 75 years, and through three generations, Supreme Security Systems has provided security services to businesses and homes. Supreme Security Systems was founded in 1929 by Sydney Bitton as the Supreme Protective Company, offering night watchman services for local businesses in the state of New Jersey. After ten years of providing security services, which essentially consisted of shaking shopkeepers' doors every night to make sure they were locked, the company began to modernize, expand its business, and offer alarm system installation under its new name, Supreme Burglar Alarm Company. In 1947, Supreme Burglar Alarm Company was awarded a listing by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the leader in U.S. product safety and certification, to install certificated burglar alarm systems. This UL listing officially permitted Supreme to issue UL certificates”"a declaration that UL's required service is being provided”"on individual system installations, helping customers to get the highest available discount on their insurance premiums. In 1964, Robert Bitton became president of the company and Maxine Paris took the post of treasurer after the passing of their father. Less than a decade later, under Robert's leadership, Supreme decided to differentiate from the competition and extend additional value to its growing list of customers by opening its own central monitoring station with its thoroughly trained personnel. With 100% in-house monitoring, Supreme was able to streamline its operations and respond to emergency incidents in the quickest and most efficient manner possible. In May of 1967 the company was incorporated in the State of New Jersey as Supreme Burglar Alarm Corporation. In 1971 the company changed its name again to Supreme Security Systems Inc. to reflect its expanding services portfolio. Over the next three decades, Supreme continued to keep pace with the exciting advancements in security technology and systems integration and rapidly grew the business by developing strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers of security solutions. Today, Supreme Security Systems is the largest independent, full-service electronic security provider in New Jersey. The company provides over 10,000 businesses, industrial facilities and residences with the most advanced burglar and fire alarms, closed circuit TV (CCTV) systems, access control systems, process and environmental monitoring systems, audio and video intercoms and music systems. A third-generation family-owned and managed company Supreme has almost 100 long-term employees on staff. Supreme has built a reputation for honesty, integrity and reliability both with its impressive client roster as well as its industry peers. Security Distributing and Marketing Magazine, one of the most influential security trade publications in North America, recently ranked Supreme in the top one third of one percent of alarm companies nationwide.
