What Is Student Services?
Established in 1956, Student Services, Inc. (SSI) is a Pennsylvania notâ€forâ€profit corporation, approved as a 501(C)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code.  It is a legally separate entity and was formed to provide services to the University community that are not available through the State System of Higher Education.  SSI currently: â— Operates the University store; â— Operates digital signage; â— Provides vending services including laundry operations; â— Operates the copy shop; â— Provides technical services; â— Provides bookkeeping services for student organizations; â— Manages the student union building; â— Manages the fitness center; â— Provides ticket sales for campus activities and events; and â— Provides check cashing services. SSI is operated by a professional staff including the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Business Officer and is also governed by a Board of Directors consisting of trustees, faculty, staff and students of the University.
