What Is St John Ambulance SA?

St John is South Australia’s leading provider of first aid training and products — delivering over 75,000 first aid certificates annually — and provides healthcare services at public events and emergencies. St John believes 100% of South Australian workplaces should be first aid ready and supports businesses to ensure they are legally compliant. Businesses who choose St John as their first aid provider are helping to support our community. The income generated by the sales of first aid training and products goes directly to funding St John’s charitable activities - first aid services, youth development and social inclusion programs. Everyday St John members attend community events across the state providing first aid and care to event goers. As part of the State Emergency Management Plan our taskforce of qualified volunteers stand alongside emergency services in preparing for, responding to, and helping the people affected recover from disaster. Our youth development programs provide an opportunity for youth to learn first aid at an early age, as well as a range of other activities and experiences to help with their development. St John is extending this knowledge beyond its membership by empowering young South Australians with vital first aid skills through its free First Aid in Schools Program. Then for those who feel disconnected from community life, our Social Inclusion Programs make the world of difference through the simple gift of human interaction. As a charity and registered not-for-profit we are reliant on public donations, together with the proceeds from commercial training and product sales to fund humanitarian services.
