Special Risk Insurance Managers Ltd. is an incorporated Managing General Agent (MGA) specializing in providing customized niche market insurance products to the Canadian market. SRIM is the result of a merger between three niche market providers: Sports-Can Insurance Consultants Ltd, Special Risk Insurance Brokers Ltd and Special Risk International. Established in 1994, Sports-Can broke into the niche specialty product market by developing specialty insurance packages designed to meet the needs of the individual client. In 2006 Mark Woodall transitioned to become the President and CEO of Sports-Can. Since 2006, Mark has purchased Special Risk Insurance Brokers and started Special Risk International. Both organization provided additional products which allowed the three organizations to create a comprehensive product line. The merger between the three companies will allow all products to be brought under one roof. This will allow customers a one stop shop for virtually any specialty risk. \r\n\r\nAs an MGA, Special Risk Insurance Managers has entered into contracts with a number of the world's largest insurers to act on their behalf. With full autonomy, within these contracts, SRIM has the ability to provide quotes, issue policies and manage claims within the highest industry standards.
