The hospitals are accredited by The Joint Commission and offer a comprehensive range of healthcare services including cardiovascular, maternity and women's health, neuroscience, emergency and surgical care, along with specialty programs in transplant, stroke, chest pain, asthma, pediatrics, diabetes, wound care, bariatrics and rehabilitation. Our hospitals include: McAllen Medical Center, McAllen Heart Hospital, Edinburg Regional Medical Center, Edinburg Children's Hospital, Edinburg Regional Rehab Center, South Texas Behavioral Health Center and Cornerstone Regional Hospital. South Texas Health System is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc.(UHS), a King of Prussia, PA-based company, that is one of the largest healthcare management companies in the nation.
