What Is Soluble Systems?
Solsys Medical, LLC (formerly known as Soluble Systems) is the manufacturer and/or distributor of a line of advanced wound care products under the brand names of TheraSkin® and TheraGauze®. Patented polymer Skin Moisture Rebalancing Technology (SMRT) gives TheraGauze its unique ability to regulate moisture differentially across a wound bed and to aid in wound healing without maceration. In addition to its non-stick properties, TheraGauze is a release platform for controlled delivery of aqueous based fluids. TheraGauze is an excellent contact cover dressing for TheraSkin, autografts, bioengineered skin substitutes, and acellular, live skin collagen products because TheraGauze provides a moist non-adherent interface. TheraSkin is a biologically active human skin allograft and represents the company's initial entrée into the rapidly growing regenerative medical market. TheraSkin is a cellular active therapy and jump-starts healing in non-progressing chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, dehisced surgical wounds, and pressure ulcers. TheraSkin is FDA regulated as human cell and tissue product (HCT/P) for homologous use [graft] to repair skin over any wound. In April of 2014, TheraSkin was awarded pass-through status by CMS. Due to this accomplishment, Soluble Systems is expanding their commercial presence Nation Wide. We began marketing TheraSkin in late 2009 under an exclusive, long-term Distribution Agreement with the Skin and Wound Allograft Institute (SWAI), a wholly owned subsidiary of LifeNet Health, Inc. (LNH), a non-profit global leader in regenerative medicine and the world's largest provider of bio-implants and organs for transplantation.
