What Is Smith Commerce Society?
The Smith Commerce Society, commonly referred to as ComSoc, was established in 1967. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest and most successful undergraduate business societies in the country. As a member of the Alma Mater Society (AMS), elected officials of ComSoc advocate for Commerce students to ensure they have access to unparalleled opportunities. With over 25 student committees and 14 world-class conferences and case competitions, ComSoc strives to support the student experience.\r\n\r\nThe Commerce Society Assembly is the governing body that oversees the operations of the Society, and is composed of elected officials, appointed officers and commissioners as well as the Society’s Advisory Board. Elected officials are voted on by their peers, while appointed members are hired based on their skills, experiences and ability to fulfill the duties of the role.\r\n\r\nAll students enrolled in the Commerce program at the Queen’s School of Business are members of the Commerce Society.
