The company was founded in 1969 by Margaret Miles-Bramwell OBE, in Derbyshire, where we're still based. We now help up to 900,000 people each week in 16,000 weekly groups across the UK and Ireland. Our groups are run by 4,500 trained Consultants, who have all lost weight with Slimming World themselves, and so are uniquely placed to empathise with and support members. Our online service, Slimming World Online, is also enjoying growth around the world.
