Serving mariners since 1908 Sleipner was founded in 1908 and employes today about 140 dedicated employees througout the main office and factory in Norway and sales offices in the UK, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The main Sleipner products for the first 70 years was marine engines and propeller equipment. The Sleipner engines where very popular in Norway and a lot of Norwegians has a relationship to these old charming engines, either themselves, or through their father, grandfather or even great-grandfather. The engines was known to be almost unbreakable and some of actually still runs today. The Quality Legacy Sleipner has always been known for their compromised level of quality. Back in the old days, Sleipner was particularly proud of being one of the few manufacturers at that time with their own foundry. The sentiment was to keep production in- house to be able to obtain the necessary level of quality. Still, this is our sentiment, and today, we are equally proud of our modern factory lines with modern High-End CNC benches. With our dedicated focus on quality and control, our factory is ISO 9001 approved by the Norwegian veritas. But, equally important as any certifications, is the people who actually manufacture the products. Every single of our employees is trained to ensure an absolute level of quality before any product ever leave our assembly lines. We work hard to make sure that Sleipner and the Side-Power brand will still be closely associated with exceptional quality in another 100 years as well!
