Sime Darby is a Malaysia-based diversified multinational involved in key growth sectors - plantations, property, motors, industrial equipment, healthcare, energy & utilities - with a workforce of more than 120,000 people in over 20 countries. Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd is part of the Motors division of Sime Darby, and entered the New Zealand market place in 1999 with its first acquisition - Continental Cars, Auckland. Over the years it has expanded by acquiring various vehicle retail outlets, passenger car distributors and commercial trucking operations. Some businesses have been in the market place for more than 50 years. Annual turnover is in excess of NZ$550m, with more than 10,000 unit sales per annum and an impressive 34 facilities throughout New Zealand.
