Sigma Delta Tau Revenue and Competitors

Sigma Delta Tau is a national sorority and member of the National Panhellenic Conference. SDT was founded on March 25, 1917, at Cornell University. Sigma Delta Tau empowers each member to reach her fullest potential by enriching the experience of women with similar ideals, building lasting relationships, promoting civic responsibility and fostering personal growth. \n\nThe Sigma Delta Tau headquarters is in Carmel, Indiana, and staffed by eight professionals. There are anywhere from 5-10 traveling Leadership Consultants each year who are also employed. A national Board of Directors provides oversight and guidance for the organization and is made of nine volunteers. Approximately 90 other volunteers provide support to the organization and individual chapters. Other women may be connected to the organization through their profile due to serving at their local chapters or through volunteerism. \n\nThe Sigma Delta Tau Foundation was founded in 1963 as a separate not-for-profit corporation. The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation is committed to encouraging the growth of both collegian and alumnae, by supporting educational endeavors and leadership programming. The SDT Foundation is managed by one staff Director, three volunteer officers and nine trustees.
