What Is Sharyland Utilities?
Cap Rock Energy Corporation (“the Company”) began as an electric cooperative in 1939. We are the successor in interest to Cap Rock Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“the Cooperative”) who provided electric service to rural customers throughout West Texas. Through our predecessor, we operated as an electric utility for over sixty years and have grown from a small West Texas provider to one now servicing over 35,000 meters in 28 counties in Texas about the size of Maryland.
