What Is Seven Counties Services?

Welcome to an e-learning opportunity that has been designed especially for you by a team of colleagues at a community mental health center, Seven Counties Services, Inc., (SCS), located in Louisville, KY and six surrounding rural counties. SCS provides services to citizens whose lives have been affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, addiction and abuse. Recently, we began working hard to enhance our capacity to provide mental health services to individuals with acquired brain injury, and we invite you to do the same through the six modules and resources presented on this website. Before you say to yourself "I don't know if I ever will have a client with a brain injury," you need to know you are most likely already providing mental health services to more than one person with acquired brain injury, the "silent epidemic." Approximately 1 in every 10 persons is touched by brain injury, and you can play an important role in their recovery and help them and their families re-establish a positive vision for the future. We thank you for your consideration, along with the KYBrain Injury Branch and its HRSA Grant H21MC00067. Please join us in making our community mental health care system a responsive resource for citizens with brain injury and their families.
