What Is Sarah Heinz House?
The Sarah Heinz House is a Boys & Girls Club, on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, focused on youth development with a vision that all children dream big, achieve personal success and impact the world in positive ways. Through high impact youth programs in education, healthy choices & leadership development we touch the lives of 3,000 youth annually in Pittsburgh through membership and outreach. We incorporate adult and peer-to-peer mentoring throughout our after school and summer programs. There is something for every child's interest (preschool -18) including classes in robotics, media/technology, sustainable design, dance, homework help, gardening & sports. Our facility houses a six lane 25-yard pool, two gymnasiums, robotics lab, fitness center, learning garden, dance studio, and café. We also own 100 acres of beautiful, rural woodland at our overnight camp near Ellwood City, PA. It is our mission to empower all youth, especially those who need us most, to Laugh, Learn and Lead.
