Salt is a homegrown collection of hotels founded by lifelong hoteliers David Bowd and Kevin OShea. With hotels in Cape Cod, Asbury Park, and New York, each Salt Hotel is a personal expression of a specific place and time. Salt's collection of hotels includes The Asbury, Salt House Inn, Eben House, and The Chequit. Over the next three years, Salt will open hotels in New York City, Asbury Park, and London. In 2016, The Asbury was named The Best New Hotel in the county by USA Today. And in 2018, The Asbury was selected Best Independent Hotel by the Independent Lodging Congress. Similar accolades have been awarded to Salt Hotel's two Cape Cod properties - Salt House Inn and Eben House - leading Travel and Leisure Magazine to attribute Salt Hotels with reinventing the hotel scene. With in-house food & beverage, cultural programming, design, retail, and branding capabilities, Salt operates various hotel venues. The Asbury is home to three bars, a counter-serve cafe, a bowling alley, a diner, and a live music venue, which routinely sells out with a capacity of 700.
