The STEM·E Youth Career Development Program Introduces and educates K-12 students in STEM·E (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship) Career fields through their involvement with STEM and Entrepreneurship Professionals, Companies, and After-School Programs and Competition Teams.\n\nGoals: Increase exposure of STEM·E opportunities to Houston area-wide students, with particular emphasis on underprivileged, underrepresented communities. Educate Houston-wide students in STEM·E professions, with exposure to education, experience, and career avenues and opportunities to enhance career development. Improve scholastic success of all students, providing a sound foundation for career and financial success in the future. Expand the STEM·E-capable workforce with increased representation by women and minorities. Expose students to STEM·E companies and potential internship, mentorship, and workshop opportunities. Increase student enrollment in STEM·E after-school and competition programs to improve and increase hands-on STEM·E education and STEM literacy. Increase STEM·E after-school program availability for all Houston-wide students, including women and minorities.\nProvide funding for the establishment of new STEM·E After-school programs, competitions, and companies\nProvide funding to students wishing to learn, pursue, and build STEM·E careers and companies.
