What Is SMG Sioux Falls?
DENNY SANFORD PREMIER CENTER The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is a multipurpose facility that houses sporting events, concerts, conventions, meetings, banquets, and more. It is comprised of the PREMIER Center, Convention Center, and Arena. PREMIER CENTER Opened in 2014, PREMIER Center can seat up to 12,000 for concerts and is the largest venue between Omaha and Fargo, and Minneapolis/St. Paul to Denver. The four level facility consists of the event level, main concourse level, premium level, and upper concourse level. PREMIER Center is the current home of Sioux Falls Stampede and Sioux Falls Storm. It also host the Summit League Men's and Women's Basketball Championships each spring. ARENA A multipurpose facility, the 7,500-seat Sioux Falls Arena was constructed in 1961. The Arena added a new entertainment landmark to the city and hosted some of the biggest names in the industry. Over it's years, it was also home to Sioux Falls Storm, Sioux Falls Stampede, Sioux Falls Skyforce, and Sioux Falls Roller Dollze. Currently, it is home to Augustana University men's and women's basketball double-headers and boasts expos, banquets, and various other events throughout the year. CONVENTION CENTER Added on to the existing arena in 1961, our Convention Center offers over 71,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space including a 16,800 square foot ballroom and 13 breakout rooms. The facility offers on-site audio/visual services, sound services, staging and an experienced event management and catering staff to ensure the success of any event. ORPHEUM THEATER CENTER A distinctive and historically enhanced facility, the 684-seat Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls was built in 1913 to serve as a venue for theatrical presentations in an inviting setting. The Center features three three distinct (and rentable) spaces: a 686-seat Historic Orpheum Theater (built in 1913), the Anne Zable Studio Theater with room for up to 450 people, and a Classroom space that can accommodate 75-100. The three spaces are all connected by a large lobby and concessions area, and the building also boasts an outdoor patio area. The center hosts plays, concerts, dance and other forms of entertainment throughout the year. It is also the perfect venue for weddings, meetings, banquets, conferences, trade shows and much more
