What Is Rusk Renovations?

Rusk Renovations, Inc. is general contracting firm that serves clients in Manhattan's select residential addresses. We are best known for our collaborative approach to building; our understanding of fine design, and our effectiveness facilitating building issues to consistently meet budget and deadlines of all clients. Recognized as one of the foremost authorities on residential renovation in Manhattan, John Rusk teaches Residential Project Management at Columbia University and offers workshops on construction risk management to industry professionals. In 1986 John Rusk started the business as a solo practitioner undertaking small projects for private residential clients. Quickly establishing himself as a perfectionist mechanic with unshakable standards of workmanship and business ethics, the company grew and soon incorporated as Rusk Renovations, Inc. providing full gut renovations to luxury co-ops, brownstones and condominiums in Manhattan's select residences. Rusk takes a multidisciplinary approach to project development and management. Our staff are seasoned professionals who hold degrees in construction management, architecture and engineering. As a company we are dedicated to continuous learning. Consequently our firm is sought after by industry leaders and new professionals for trustworthy guidance. Regarded for its discretion, effective problem solving, and fair business practices, Rusk has become one of the most sought after firms in Manhattan's luxury residential renovation niche, preferred by sophisticated clients and their architects. Our company is a member of the Institute of Classical Art and Architecture. Rusk is the recipient of the Lucy G. Moses Award, conferred by the New York Landmarks Conservancy. We are the only residential construction firm in Manhattan to be awarded Best Place to Work in New York City and New York State.
