Rovensa Group, previously known as Sapec Agro Business, is an international player in the agriculture industry, with a large history, experience and knowledge in the sector. It has started its business in 1926 by exploiting pyrite mines in Portugal. After some years, it began its agriculture activity thanks to the use of pyrite ash that was a key ingredient to produce fertilizers. Throughout the years, it has progressively expanded its production to other agricultural solutions and geographies. In September 2019, Sapec was rebranded as Rovensa, with the goal of creating a brand of international standing in the agriculture industry. Organized in three main business units – crop protection, crop nutrition and biocontrol - Rovensa continuously develops a vast portfolio of innovative solutions for plant health & care that helps to address some of today's nutrition biggest challenges, triggered by overpopulation, climate change and the decline of planet resources.
