From its modest launch in 1976, Ropack, a privately held company, created a global footprint. What began as two business partners packaging short-run private-label sugar pouches on a pair of refurbished machines is now Ropack Pharma Solutions, providing comprehensive drug development through clinical manufacturing, packaging and distribution as well as commercial manufacturing and packaging for solid oral dosage. Ropack Pharma Solutions operates facilities in Long Island, NY, and Montreal, Quebec. The acquisition of the Long Island facilities in 2015 was a realization of the company’s twofold strategic expansion plan: to provide current and future customers with a full complement of services on the path to market and to establish a U.S. presence.
