Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts Revenue and Competitors

The Kravis Center is committed to providing state-of-the-art services for persons with disabilities. Honorary Advisory Board member and master violinist Itzhak Perlman was actively involved in the design phase to ensure the Center's state-of-the-art status for persons with disabilities. All Kravis Center facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities, assuring a pleasurable performance experience. All Kravis Center entries are accessible to persons using wheelchairs. All orchestra aisles are ramped, not stepped. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on all four levels of Dreyfoos Hall and is available for performances in the Rinker Playhouse and Gosman Amphitheatre. The Cohen Pavilion is also fully wheelchair accessible. Accessible seating for persons with disabilities and a companion is available for all shows on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to mention your interest in wheelchair-accessible seating or other accommodations when placing your ticket order. Kravis Center wheelchairs are free of charge and are also available on a first-come, first-served basis. The stage areas are accessible without use of stairs/steps. Performers have access to any portion of the building with out using steps. With the exception of the balcony, there are restrooms on all levels of the Kravis Center that contain facilities for persons with disabilities. Signage on all restrooms is designated in Braille, in addition to the standard visual markings. Restrooms in the Rinker Playhouse and Gosman Amphitheatre are designed to accommodate persons with disabilities. Signage and controls for all bathrooms are designated in Braille, in addition to the standard visual markings. Box Office windows were installed at a level with disabled persons in mind. Parking spaces for persons with disabilities are located on the third floor of the garage. They provide easy access to garage elevators and a covered walkway to the theatres. Entrances are located on Iris Street and Tamarind Avenue. Please note: oversized vehicles must enter through the valet parking entrance on Okeechobee Boulevard. Guests are also welcome to use the pick-up and drop-off entrance on Sapodilla Avenue located at the east end of the Dreyfoos Hall lobby. The Kravis Center offers a limited number of wheelchairs for temporary use by its patrons. All directional signage is provided at eye-level in Braille, including elevators. Four large elevators located on the east and west sides of the lobby provide easy access to all levels of the Center. A state-of-the-art, infrared audio enhancement system is available for the hearing-impaired during all performances in Dreyfoos Hall or the Rinker Playhouse. Receivers and earphones are available free of charge and may be picked up one hour before curtain time at the Guest Services Station located on the east side of the lobby. Large print programs are available for all Kravis Center presentations. The large print programs may be picked up at the Guest Services Station located in the lobby. Open captioning is provided for all Saturday matinee performances of Kravis On Broadway presentations. Those in need of the service should alert the box office when ordering tickets. In 1996, the Kravis Center was awarded the National Endowment for the Arts "universal design" recognition for "providing a facility with outstanding handicap access."
