Radiant Earth Foundation empowers organizations and individuals globally with open AI and EO data, standards and tools to address the world’s most critical international development challenges. Our goals are three-fold: First, it is to provide an open source “Hub” for data scientists and programmers to discover and access Earth observation training datasets and machine learning models, as well as to lead a sustained community-wide effort to capture image labels for various applications across the Global South. The second goal is to foster a community of practice to develop standards around machine learning on Earth observation and to expand the interoperability of these tools and datasets. The third goal is to educate and inform global development actors and geospatial professionals on progress and innovation in the Earth observation marketplace.
