OUR MISSION The EV market is booming, and autonomous driving is making its way towards the open road. These developments contribute to cleaner and safer transport. Our market studies show an increasing demand for automation of charging for industrial vehicles, and transport & logistic vehicles, with an up-and-coming demand for automated charging of passenger cars. However, there are only cumbersome proprietary solutions on the market. The lack of a suitable automated charging solution hampers the rise of EVs and autonomous driving. The mission: Drive the energy transition by EV charging automation The common denominator for all vehicles is the always-present standardized inlet for a manual connection, like CCS, ChaoJi, CHAdeMO, J1772 or Euro-DIN. We automate the plug-in process of standardized connectors, using our state-of-the-art soft-robotics technology and computer vision. OUR STORY In April 2019, Crijn Bouman and Joost van der Weijde start Rocsys B.V. Not much later Kanter van Deurzen joins the team. Crijn has a 15 year track record in the fast charging industry, Joost has a PhD degree in robotics, and Kanter has an intensive industry background in computer vision. This lays a strong foundation to create innovative solutions for automated EV charging. The backing by professional investors created budget to increase the speed of the developments. Through several design iterations and pilot projects, we have created an automated charging solution that is safe, reliable and cost efficient. With more than ten technicians in the team we are ready to scale up further. To make this happen, Elwin Roetman joined the management team in September 2020 as Head of Sales.
