What Is RIPL?
RIPL has developed a next-generation internet “push” technology that enables rapid distribution and re-distribution of all kinds of consumer content and advertising in a high-impact, rich-media format. Members of RIPL’s 18-to-24-year-old target audience subscribe to their friends, along with other people of interest like sports figures and recording artists. Instead of having to search or browse for content, RIPL users get music, video, photos and text delivered straight to the PC or Mac desktop, and to other devices, in a highly personalized, rich-media content stream. RIPL users can tell at a glance what’s going on in their networks and engage directly with the people who matter to them. RIPL was founded in late 2005 by Bill Messing, a veteran of Classmates.com, Microsoft Corp., Interactive Home Systems, and HarperCollins Publishers
