What Is Project Play Therapy?

On April 1, 2017 Project Play Therapy acquired Franklin Speech & Learning Center, a pediatric speech, occupational and physical therapy practice started by Helen Duhon 20 years ago. Today, Franklin Speech has grown to multiple locations and serves many of Nashville's prospering charter schools, priding itself on high quality therapy and long lasting relationships within the community. Kyle and Sarah Keene, co-founders of Project Play Therapy, saw Franklin Speech as the perfect platform to increase their reach and share their energy, passion and message for pediatric therapy in middle Tennessee. Kyle Keene, President of Project Play Therapy, says the practice will extend the same level of service Franklin Speech has established within the community and looks forward to working closely with Duhon and her executive team for years to come. “We are excited to announce Franklin Speech & Learning as a division of Project Play and cannot wait to get started,” Keene said. Our passions create a foundation for your child's functional independence before, during and after therapy by aiming to deliver a transcendent service that is client-oriented, evidence-based and results driven. Beyond our practice, our mission is to become community advocates for occupational therapy awareness both locally and world-wide. While we consider Occupational, Speech, Physical and Feeding Therapy to be our core services, we offer specialty services at our locations, local schools and in your home. Our passion areas include sensory integrations, fine visual and gross motor interventions and environmental modifications; and our therapies incorporate playtime and daytime activities to address attention, transition and behavioral interventions that will enable and empower your child to lead a fulfilling and productive life. In addition, we specialize in psychological services, social language groups, handwriting therapy and interactive metronome to meet the individualized needs of our clients.
