Premier Health Urgent Care Revenue and Competitors

In 1993, the CEOs of Baptist Medical Center and Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina shared a vision of reducing the cost of healthcare for businesses without sacrificing quality. That vision became reality with the inception of Premier Health Systems, Inc., a joint venture between the two hospitals which resulted in a statewide PPO (preferred provider organization) network. Premier enrolled its first group of 100 covered lives on January 1, 1995. Current enrollment has reached over 172,000 covered lives . This network, which is constantly expanding, includes contracts with 17 insurance companies and affiliations with over 50 third party administrators. Premier Health Systems\' reputation for responsive service sets it apart from other independent networks. Our goal is to be the standard by which all other networks are measured.
