Founded in 1980, Precision Cable Assemblies, LLC, manufactures heavy gauge wire assemblies and ground straps for original equipment manufacturers. Today, we also manufacture battery cables, lead wire assemblies, and cable and wire harnesses. In November 1999, we earned ISO 9002 Certification, signifying our dedication to providing our customers with products that meet or exceed their expectations. PCA's current facilities consist of one manufacturing plant in the United States and a second location in Qingdao, China. The original 53,000 square foot facility, located in Brookfield, Wisconsin, serves as our corporate headquarters and handles the majority of our heavy gauge cable assemblies, wire harnesses and multi-conductor assemblies. The Qingdao facility is 70,000 square feet and will be used to produce larger more labor intensive wire harnesses. Our Engineering department works primarily out of the Brookfield location, building prototypes, creating work instructions based on customer prints, sourcing materials specified by customers, and drawing prints using AutoCAD 2000. The Brookfield location utilizes computer aided Artos and Amp cut, strip and termination equipment and have in-house tool and die capabilities. We manufacture the majority of our PVC wire requirements on 3 Davis Standard extruders, with state of the art speed and quality controls. In addition, we now stamp many of our own terminals locally on some of the finest high speed stamping equipment available. A sampling of the markets we service includes marine, lawn & garden, automotive, utilities, heavy duty truck chassis, semi-trailer, OEM off-highway, power distribution and snow removal equipment. We are certified suppliers, and have yearly blanket arrangements featuring just-in-time deliveries with many of our customers. We have developed EDI and bar coding, and Kanban capabilities.
