ELY-keskukset edistävät alueellista kehittämistä hoitamalla valtionhallinnon toimeenpano- ja kehittämistehtäviä alueilla.\n\nPohjois-Karjalan ELY-keskus on yksi 15:sta alueellisesti toimivasta ELY-keskuksesta. Tehtävämme jakaantuvat kahteen osa-alueeseen: elinkeinot, työvoima ja osaaminen sekä ympäristö ja luonnonvarat. Toimialueenamme on Pohjois-Karjala. They are tasked with promoting regional competitiveness, well-being and sustainable development and curbing climate change.\n\nThe Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment steer and supervise the activities of the Employment and Economic Development Offices (TE Offices). \n\nNetworking with other actors in the region is the starting point for our activities.
