Established in 1994, Pluss is a material research and manufacturing company involved in the field of specialty polymeric additives and phase change materials for thermal energy storage. The company was formed by technocrats Mr. Anil Mehta (Currently - Director Manufacturing) and Mr. Devendra Jain (Currently Director, Research & Development). The company spent the initial 7 years in the development of Functionalized Polymers which fetched Pluss the Govt. of India Technology Day Award on May 11, 2001, by the then Vice President of India. Pluss was the first company to make these specialized polymers to improve properties of Engineering Polymers used in Automotive and White Goods industry in India. The company actively started its sales operations subsequently in 2001. Research and Innovation have been the focus of the company since its inception. Pluss believes in developing products new to the country. The company believes that 25% of the revenue should come from new innovations each year. The products are developed in-house with indigenous processes; thus putting Pluss on the world's innovation map. In Nov 2012, the company had an equity infusion from Tata Capital Innovations Fund. This enabled Pluss to enter the international markets and continue with consistent and pragmatic innovations. The company's mission is to provide solutions to create a definitive change in the polymers and thermal energy storage industry. Pluss has seen tremendous growth in the recent past. With its innovative products, the company is making its presence felt across the globe with representatives in USA, Turkey, South East Asia, Russia, Ukraine, and South Africa. Pluss intends to be among the top innovative companies in the world in the near future.
