Plumb House has the commitment, skilled workforce, facilities, management skills, finances, bonding capacity, experience, and enthusiasm to continue succeeding as a general contractor in the housing industry. We have been building and rehabilitating multi-family housing developments since 1973. In the early years, we operated primarily as a carpentry contractor. We built our reputation by delivering quality construction on time and at competitive prices. By 1987, we had become the largest framing contractor in the United States. Since then, Plumb House has expanded into general contracting for multi-unit housing of all kinds: market and subsidized apartments, housing for the elderly, assisted living facilities, military housing, student housing and extended stay hotels. Plumb House provides comprehensive development, design and construction services. Dalton Builders Inc., a Plumb House subsidiary, was founded in 1994 to focus on meeting the rapidly expanding needs of the commercial wood frame construction market. Dalton Builders employs its own 100-carpenter labor force, which has completed a wide variety of large commercial projects in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Dalton performs rough framing, roofing, siding, exterior trim, interior partitions and finish work. Advance Concrete does cast-in-place concrete work such as framework, footings, elevated decks, post-tension decks and concrete walls. Grafton Electric, Inc. is our in-house electrical contractor.
