What Is Pinky Swear Foundation?

A childhood cancer diagnosis is an unfair crisis that turns a family’s world upside down. Amid having to make life-and-death decisions, there is the unanticipated burden of indirect costs, paired with a critical lack of resources or support. High financial distress, significant income losses, and families going from middle class to poor are all too common outcomes of a childhood cancer experience. Since 2003, Pinky Swear Foundation has supported families’ quality-of-life with direct financial aid for basic needs, and through experiences that create emotional support, including: • Stable housing • Reliable transportation • Groceries for kids and families • Payments for bills • Worry-free, quality time together out of the hospital • Convenient, stocked food pantries in hospitals With 40,000 kids in cancer treatment each year, Pinky Swear is expanding nationally to attain our goal of helping all families with children in cancer treatment. Ways for corporations to partner include sponsoring, volunteering, or donating to programs or events such as: • Envelope Program • Orange Envelope Program • All-Star Weekends • Pinky Swear Pantry • Celebrity ambassadors/influencer endorsements • Pinky Swear Kids Triathlons • National Pinky Swear Day • Pinky Swear Gala • Perk's Pinky Swear Mess Fest Before nine-year-old Mitch Chepokas died from cancer, his dad made a pinky swear promise to continue to help children with cancer and their families by providing immediate needs support and unique family programs. To date, over $15.5 million has been raised to support brave kids battling cancer and their families across the country.
