What Is Pinellas REALTORÂ Organization and Central Pasco REALTORÂ Organization?

The Pinellas REALTOR® Organization (PRO) and Central Pasco REALTOR® Organization (CPRO) (a chapter of Pinellas REALTOR® Organization) is one of Tampa Bay’s largest professional trade associations, representing the interests of over 9,000 real estate professionals in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. It was established in 2002 as the result of a merger between the St. Petersburg Suncoast Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Clearwater Association of REALTORS®, and in 2018 with the merger of the Central Pasco Association of REALTORS®. PRO/CPRO provides its REALTOR® members with an array of real estate-related programs, products and services, including professional development, legislative advocacy, and business enhancers. Additionally, PRO/CPRO regularly responds to queries from the general public and promotes use of Association members in facilitating the transfer of real property. As with the entire REALTOR® Association, PRO/CPRO does not enforce real estate law or issue real estate licenses. Its mechanism for ensuring fairness and integrity in real estate transactions is the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. PRO/CPRO members also maintain membership in the Florida REALTORS® (FR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). PRO/CPRO has been granted the charter to use and monitor usage of the term ‘REALTOR®’ by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). REALTOR® is a registered mark which identifies a professional in real estate who subscribes to a strict Code of Ethics as a member of the REALTOR® Association.
