Since our inception in 1952, Pine Castle has strived to give the best care to persons with intellectual and developmental differences in Northeast Florida. We embarked on a journey which was never done in the state of Florida to prevent these persons from being institutionalized. Since then, we have evolved from a one-building school for children to a facility which offers adult day training and education, senior services, employment opportunities, group home services and promotes community employment to over 350 individuals daily. Pine Castle works to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through opportunities to learn, work and connect. The objective of Pine Castle?s programs are based on developing individuals to the maximum of their capabilities ? providing services so they can enjoy full, healthy and productive lives. Pine Castle is located in Jacksonville, Florida on the south side.
