What Is Philadelphia Business Journal?

Philadelphia Business Journal is a weekly paper and daily Web site providing local business news to Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Daily online news updates, publisher announcements, and industry-vertical newsletters are free to readers. Subscribers have access to our print, online or digital editions as well as archives and news from our 40 sister papers around the country. Subscribers also receive the annual Book of Lists, a directory of local businesses containing more than 4,500 contacts. Philadelphia Business Journal hosts many networking and awards events that honor successful executives and companies in the region such as our 40 Under 40 banquet and Minority Business Awards. We were recognized for general excellence by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers in 2009 and 2005. We were one of only 14 publications nationwide to receive the association's inaugural “Best of the Best” award in 2009. In addition, we were named Newspaper of the Year by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Foundation in 2008 and 2006. We are a division of American City Business Journals, the country's largest publisher of business publications. It is owned by Advance Publications, a private publishing company that also owns Condé Nast magazines and Newhouse Newspapers.
