Founded in 1998 by three principals, Knowledge Analysis Technologies is an outgrowth of their research at the University of Colorado. The company builds applications using its proprietary machine-learning technology for text understanding. All products and services have at their foundation the ability to represent conceptual knowledge and simulate human understanding of natural language. These applications cover an enormous range: from teaching reading and writing skills, assessing reading comprehension and written performance, to more efficient online search mechanisms and automated parsing of large databases of content.
