Pearl Software is a privately held company originating in 1996 behind our family Internet monitoring and control product. Pearl Software’s unique solution to a then-new problem of managing inappropriate use of the Internet by providing capabilities beyond simple content filtering received numerous accolades from the technical press, civic leaders as well as the White House’s Internet taskforce. Pearl Software quickly gained traction in the educational sector due to its approach to managing Internet use through in depth monitoring capabilities. In 1998, in order to meet the needs of schools and universities, a network version of our Internet monitoring and control product was created. With the advent of Pearl Software’s agent-server capabilities came the quick adoption of our products in the corporate and government sectors.
