Peaceful Valley Montessori Academy is a family owned and operated Montessori school serving children ages 6 weeks-6 years old. From infancy through kindergarten, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of our families and team members. It is our goal to ensure that everyone who comes to us leaves better than when they came. PVMA offers year round, full-time and part-time care options in Golden Valley, Eden Prairie and Bloomington. Before and after-school care consists of helping around the classroom, playing outside, doing arts and crafts or participating in our extracurricular options such as dance, yoga or soccer. However, while we have typical daycare hours, our school is anything but typical. Starting in our infant rooms, the children are not bombarded with loud plastic toys or placed in bouncers all day. Our teachers spend hours creating engaging and natural works to challenge each child's mind while giving them the individual, loving attention that young babies need to cultivate their sense of safety and comfort. When the child moves up to the Toddler room, you will continue to observe the importance PVMA places on fostering independence and respect for each child. From play to lunch, children are given choices from what work to do to who they want to sit by and are gently guided in clean up, potty training and social skills. Lastly, each Children's House classroom is designed to replicate the feeling of being at home. Our teachers bring beauty, peace and harmony into every shelf and work they create. The children in preschool and kindergarten participate in two, three hour work cycles each day in which they not only focus on their social/emotional skills, but also learn works in practical life, sensorial, math, culture and language.
